Keep your website working. Give customers a clear way to reach you.
Website care, local visibility, and managed call handling for plumbing businesses. I maintain the site, test its inquiry paths, and set up the right handoff for when you can't answer. You work directly with the person responsible for your site.
For established plumbing businesses with customers coming in and someone responsible for returning inquiries. Based in Florida, working with companies across the US.
John Barbagallo — Army sergeant, former lineman, nine years running WordPress sites.
The website is the office nobody's sitting in. I make sure it answers.
What goes wrong, specifically.
These aren't statistics. They're the things I most often find when I check plumbing company websites. Some are visible from the outside in minutes; others — backups, account ownership, inbox delivery — can only be confirmed with access, which is why the report separates the two.
The form fails on a phone
A customer types out the problem on their phone, hits send, sees an error — or sees "thanks" while the message never reaches your inbox. Nobody on your side knows it happened.
The call comes in mid-job
You're under a slab or in a crawlspace. The call rings out, the voicemail is full or ignored, and that customer is already calling the next name on the list.
Google disagrees with your site
Different phone number, old hours, an address from two trucks ago. Customers trust the listing they saw first. A mismatch isn't always a mistake — sometimes it's a tracking number — but it always needs confirming.
Nobody has touched the site since it was built
Plugins years out of date, no working backup, hosting nobody has the login for. It works until the day it doesn't, and that day is always a busy one.
Start with the free website check.
Give me your website address and an email to reply to. Within a couple of business days you get a short report on what I checked from the outside: what I observed, what still needs confirming, and the next useful step. If nothing's wrong, the report says so.
1. Send the address
Website and a reply email. That's all I need to start.
2. I check it
Forms, phone links, listings, mobile load — what's observed, what needs confirming.
3. You get a one-page report
Within a couple of business days, with the next useful step and a fixed price if a repair makes sense.
Website & Missed-Call Check
Illustrative example — invented findings, not a client result
Observed
A mobile test submission displayed an error instead of a confirmation. Delivery to the business has not yet been checked.
Needs confirmation
Google and the website show different phone numbers. Confirm whether these are intentional tracking numbers before changing either.
Not tested
After-hours handling. This needs an owner-approved test call and confirmation of who receives the inquiry.
First step
Trace the form submission through to the business's inbox. If a repair is needed, confirm the scope and fixed price before work starts.
The report identifies what was checked, what remains unknown, and the next useful action.
What you get. Three plans, fixed service fees.
Every plan includes hosting on managed infrastructure, tested updates, daily off-site backups, uptime and security monitoring, and a login where you can see the work completed on your site. Included usage and any additional charges are agreed before onboarding. Month to month, with 30 days' notice to cancel.

What setup covers
Site Care
Access and condition review, agreed migration, backup and recovery configuration, and a baseline contact-path test.
Local Visibility
The Site Care setup, plus a profile and listings baseline, tracking configuration, and the first prioritized improvement plan.
Call Capture
The Local Visibility setup, plus a phone-system review, an approved call flow, fallback configuration, controlled test calls, and handoff to your callback owner.
One site and one location per plan. Setup and first month are due before onboarding. Upgrading later is charged for the additional onboarding actually required. Sites with existing compromise, blocked account transfers, or unusual migrations are quoted separately.
How it works, start to finish.
No surprises is the whole point. Every step, in order, with typical timing. Timing depends on how fast access and content arrive from your side — I'll tell you where we are at each step.
Free check
Within a couple of business days
You send the website address. I test it from the outside the way a customer would use it and send a one-page report: observed, needs confirming, first step.
One call
15–20 minutes
We go through the report. I recommend one plan — not three — and tell you the setup fee and monthly fee. If a plan isn't the answer, I say so and quote the repair instead.
Agreement and setup payment
Same day if you're ready
A plain-language agreement: what's included, response times, what you own, how cancelling works. Setup and first month are paid before onboarding starts.
Onboarding
About one week for Site Care · two for Local Visibility · two to three for Call Capture
Access, migration to managed hosting, backups and monitoring, a baseline test of every contact path. Local Visibility adds the profile and listings baseline and tracking. Call Capture adds the phone-system review, an approved call flow, and controlled test calls — nothing goes live to real customers until the tests pass and you've approved the script.
Month one
First 30 days
Everything is watched closely. Your login opens at the start of service with the work log filling in as things are done. On Call Capture, the first 20 live calls are reviewed one by one.
The monthly rhythm
Every month after
Tested updates, backup verification, the contact-path test, listings check on Local Visibility and up, the monthly summary in your login — and, on Call Capture, a short review of how intake went and what to adjust.
Onboarding, specifically.
What I need from you, what I do with it, and how long it takes. Setup fees cover this work.
What I need from you
Delegated access to the site and hosting under your own accounts where the platform supports it — I ask only for what the purchased plan needs, collected securely, never over email
Manager access to your Google Business Profile, if you have one
Your current phone setup — carrier, any call software (Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, CallRail), and how calls get routed today
The name of the person who returns inquiries, and the hours they do it
Any content you want changed — in your words; I don't invent it
What I do with it
Site Care: access and condition review, agreed migration, backup and recovery configured, monitoring on, a tagged test submission traced to your inbox
Local Visibility adds: a profile and listings baseline, inquiry tracking configured, the first prioritized improvement plan
Call Capture adds: a phone-system review (your existing software first, if it fits — "fits" means I've tested the handoff, not just that the software exists), an approved call flow and service-area screening, fallback configuration, controlled test calls covering the ugly cases — urgent language, noisy callers, wrong area, failed transfer — and handoff to your callback owner
Then, every month
Plugin and core updates tested on staging, then applied
Backup recovery tested on the cadence written in your agreement — not just "backup ran"
Forms and phone links tested; a tagged submission traced through
Listings checked for consistency (Local Visibility and up)
One existing page improved (Local Visibility and up)
Intake review and script adjustments (Call Capture)
Monthly summary posted in your login
Your 30-minute content-edit allowance, when you send changes
Your login, panel by panel.
You shouldn't have to take my word for what was done. This is a concept preview with sample data, not a client's records — each panel is labeled with the plan that includes it.

Inquiries — this week
Water heater, no hot water — Palm Bay · DanaCallback due2h ago
Every update, fix, test and change, dated, in plain language. If it's not in the log, it didn't happen.
Inquiries — Local Visibility and up
Calls and forms from the sources we configure, with what's known about each: replied, booked (only when your team confirms), screened out, or unknown. Test submissions are tagged and excluded from counts.
Callback queue — Call Capture
Which inquiries still need a callback, who owns it, and how long it's been waiting. The orange one at the top is the one to make now.
Questions owners ask.
We already use Jobber / Housecall Pro / ServiceTitan. Do we need another system?
Probably not, and I won't sell you one. Call Capture starts with a review of what you already have. If your software's receptionist or missed-call features do the job, we configure those and I manage the setup. Extra tools get added only for a concrete gap.
Our site was built by a friend, a nephew, or an agency that disappeared. Can you take it over?
Yes — that's most of the sites I see. Setup starts with an access and condition review; if there's compromise or a blocked transfer, I tell you before quoting it separately.
What happens at 2 a.m.?
Monitoring runs around the clock and alerts me. My response commitment is within one business day during support hours, 9–5 Eastern, Monday to Friday. Call Capture intake keeps taking details after hours and routes urgent-sounding calls exactly the way you approved in setup — which may be a message for the morning queue or a handoff to a number you designate. It is intake, not emergency dispatch, and the agreement says so in plain words.
What does the AI answering actually do, and not do?
It collects the caller's details, screens by service area, and gets the inquiry to your named person. It does not quote prices, dispatch trucks, give repair advice, or promise anything you haven't approved. Your team calls the customer back.
Who owns what?
You: domain, business profile, analytics, phone number, content, site. Me: the dashboard software. You can export your own records any time. The agreement lists any plugin licenses that stop renewing if care ends.
How do we cancel?
Month to month, 30 days' notice, no penalty. The agreement states the last billing period and any exit work.
Will you write our blog or run our ads?
No. Content retainers, social posting and ad management aren't offered at all. New pages, custom development and integrations are quoted separately.
What if you're unavailable?
The agreement spells out holiday and absence handling and what you can reach yourself in the meantime. I don't promise coverage I can't personally provide.
